Tax & TDS

For 25/50 and below levels

There is NO TDS deducted as the winning amounts are less than 10,000 on i5poker (for the most part).

Based on TDS (Tax Deduction at Source) rules for online card games winnings in India, 30% TDS should be deducted on any winnings above Rs. 10,000 in a single game.

In i5poker, while playing upto 50/50, the number of times that a player might win above 10,000 on top of the entry fee (max 4,000)would be negligible.

Considering a ring game example, where 2 players have played a game for the maximum entry fee (4,000 x 2 = 10,000). The amount that the winner would be able to redeem would only be 10000. The total redeemable winning would only be 10000 and hence not eligible for TDS deduction.

i5poker will not host any tournaments where any single winning transaction exceeds more than 10,000 chips.

Any time a royal flush prize payout is made, appropriate TDS will be deducted before the payout is made. (If a single payout is above 10,000)

In the rare case an event happens where in a player ends up winning a prize amount more than 10,000 which is eligible for TDS, such deductions will be made.

For 50/100 and above levels

TDS is deducted at the end of the quarter on winning amounts above 10,000.

Based on TDS (Tax Deduction at Source) rules for online card games winnings in India, 30% TDS should be deducted on any winnings above Rs. 10,000 in a single game.

The estimated TDS cut by the end of the quarter will be displayed in your account balance area and the same will not be redeemable till the TDS is filed.

The player will have to update the banking area with his correct PAN number so that we can file the TDS easily.
